Great finds…

03.23.2010 · Posted in Great finds, In store, Rumours

I wasn’t really planning on going to the Montreal Gift Show, because most purchases for cool products had already been made or planned. But I went anyway, to appease my mind, and just in case I would find new things that I hadn’t thought about. And a good thing too, because I found something that I had been searching for quite some time… It’s a mouse/keychain device that blinks (eyes) and beeps when you whistle and/or clap your hands, and for a reasonable price (9.95$). I swear, I will strap one on the TV’s remote control, on my sunglasses, and even have one transplanted on my brain! Available soon. Send a message if you want to be noticed when they are online.

I also traced back a supplier that contacted me last Fall about a very cool item: the Trunki. It’s a child luggage on wheels, moulded in robust plastic, animal shaped, that rolls on anywhere, and that can be used as bench, trolley, or play thing. The manufacturer is in the process of changing it’s Canadian distributor, so we don’t know for how long (and at what price) they will be available. But I bought some this Spring. Available soon. Send a message if you want to be noticed when they are online.

Magnetic thumbtacks…2010 best-seller of the year?

03.08.2010 · Posted in GiftOsphere.ca, In store, Rumours

Every year, there is a particular item that doesn’t cost much and that everybody wants to have. Last year, it was the VacuVin glass markers. I sold a lot, and I still do… But this year, I’m thinking it will be these magnetic thumbtacks. They are such a simple and good idea! Who didn’t at least once want to display a picture or a poster, without having to put it in a frame, AND without piercing holes in it

What alternatives are there? Scotch tape: damages the image; adhesive putty: when it really sticks, it also leaves a spot; regular thumbtacks leave puncture wounds… But not these:

All bets are on!!!
